The First National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is a day to consider the long-lasting impacts that the residential school system has had and continues to have on Indigenous people and families and just how those experiences affect our communities. Elementary schools are creating special gardens to honour those affected by residential schools. Each student and staff member will receive an orange mask on Thursday.
